3K a year The RN's primary focus in the Operating Room and PACU is addressing the needs of the surgical patient, families, and/or significant others preoperatively, intraoperatively and postoperatively.
Utilization of critical thinking skills to apply nursing process knowledge to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
This position provides direct nursing care to patients of all ages.
Qualifications:
Current RN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing One-year perioperative nursing experience, i.
e.
scrubbing and circulating for a variety of procedures preferred Knowledge of AORN recommended practices preferred Knowledge of the function and use of patient monitoring equipment required Knowledge of basic surgical technique and the instruments, sutures, and meds used in the OR preferred Ability to interpret basic EKG required Current BLS, ACLS and PALS OR PEARS certification, or willingness to obtain certifications within 6 months of start date (company paid) Schedule:
64hrs/wks Hours may vary between 6:
30am-4:
30pm, typically 8 hour shifts Scheduled various days between Monday-Friday Rotating call - Every 7 to 9 weekends and 7 to 9 weekdays Northfield Hospital & Clinics is an independent organization with over 800 employees.
